What is Digital Smile Design (DSD)?
DSD was founded by Dr. Christian Coachman and provides systematic approaches for improved diagnosis, communication, treatment planning, execution, and maintenance for aesthetic dentistry. DSD delivers education, consulting services and digital technology to dentists interested in facially-driven digital treatment planning.
The DSD concept is based upon the analysis of the patient’s facial and dental proportions, utilizing a predetermined series of high-quality digital photographs and videos to understand the relationship between teeth, gums, lips, smile with the facial features in motion – and with emotion.
Why is Align partnered with Digital Smile Design (DSD)?
Align is committed to driving innovation in modern, comprehensive dentistry by combining the best in aligner marketing and imaging systems, with the leading comprehensive dentistry education and planning brand (DSD).
